General Questions
How do I get my Texas Real Estate License?
Visit our How to Get Your License page for step by step instructions.
What are your business hours?
AIRE is open from 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday thru Friday. We are closed most federal holidays.
Online Real Estate Courses
How do Online MCE courses work?
You register online, complete a series of short lessons and fax your reporting form to The Institute. We report your credit to TREC. A 15 hour Online MCE typically takes less than 2 days to complete.
Do I get a certificate for MCE?
No. After you fax your reporting form to us, we handle all the TREC reporting. You can call to confirm that your completion certificates have been received at 1-800-487-1757.
How do 30 hour Online courses work?
You register online and complete all course work online. When you are ready, take your 100% online practice and final exam. Upon successful completion of your online test, you may print your course completion affidavit and send it to the Texas Institute. Your certificate will be mailed to you upon receipt of the affidavit. The whole process typically takes less than 2 weeks.
What happens if I run into a problem with my registration or online test?
Our top notch technical support team will be more than happy to assist you with any problems you may encounter.

Real Estate Correspondence Courses
How does St. Edward's University Professional Education Center correspondence work?
Register online, your books are shipped to you, then complete your textbooks. Then, log on to our website and take your 100% online practice and final exams. Upon successful completion of your online test, your certificate of completion can be printed immediately. The whole process typically takes less than 2 weeks.
Why does the site say "brought to you by St. Edward's Professional Education Center?"
Our partner in correspondence education, St. Edward's Professional Education Center, actually provides the completion credit for your correspondence course. The reason for this is that only colleges and universities can provide credit for courses not taught in a classroom.
How long does it take to receive my books?
Books are typically shipped the next business day after your purchase of a course. They are shipped via US Postal mail and generally take between 5 to 7 business days to arrive.
Can I pick my books up?
When you register for your correspondence courses and choose the textbook format, you have the option to either pick up your books or to have them shipped to you.
If I sign up the day before my renewal is due, is this enough time to complete the course?
We do not recommend this. You can pick up the books, cram the course and take the test, but it is unlikely you will be able to pass the exam in the allotted 2 chances.

Live Real Estate Classes
Do I have to take the classes in any particular order?
All our classes are taught independently of one another and do not require prior knowledge of one course in order to succeed in another. The classes can be taken in any order that fits your schedule.
What college classes does TREC look for in my evaluation?
Most of what they look for is basic education credits. Contact TREC's Education Dept. for a specific description of the credit they can award: 512-459-6544.
If I have to change my class dates is there a penalty?
Absolutely not. You're tuition is good for 1 year toward ANY class at ANY time. We will gladly change your dates as many times as you need.
How do I transfer from a live class to an online or correspondence course?
Live courses and Online/Correspondence courses are offered through different billing systems and with various partnerships with our technology company and accredited universities. Therefore, in order to change from a live class to an online or correspondence course, you must first request a refund for your live enrollment from AIRE's Administrative Offices (a $25 fee is non-refundable for all live enrollments), then register separately for the online or correspondence courses.
Do your classes ever cancel?
Very rarely, but due to lack of enrollment some classes do cancel. Typically these classes are renewal classes or classes offered on a non-traditional schedule. Core, MCE and Prep classes rarely cancel except in cases of an instructor emergency.
Do I get a lunch break?
Yes, in weekday and weekend courses you will get a lunch break every day from 12:30- 1:30.
How do I find a sponsoring broker?
Most students choose a major real estate company to become their sponsoring broker. You do, however, have many choices for your sponsoring broker, such as an independently owned brokerage or leasing agency. We have many job postings at the Institute in our break room and on our call board. Please refer to our How to Chose a Sponsoring Broker page or visit our online Job Board.
I completed my MCE class, but TREC sent me a letter saying I haven't gotten credit. What happened?
If you have received a letter from TREC, don't panic. It means one of two things a) your class roster was not filled out correctly or b) TREC did not process the rosters before your renewal deadline. It is very easy to correct and have your proper credit reported. Call and we'll take care of it for you, our number is 512-453-0900.
